The Reading Memorial Rockets will head out to face off against the Lynn Classical Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Reading Memorial 1.8, Lynn Classical 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Lynn Classical will be up against a hot Reading Memorial team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Rockets blew past Winchester 9-3 on Thursday. Considering the Rockets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Liam Hansen and Sam Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Hansen went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base, while Clark went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits Clark has posted since back in April. Kamden Greatorex was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
Lynn Classical came out on top against Everett on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Rams never let the Crimson Tide get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Crimson Tide: they've now won nine in a row.
Rolky Brea was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Brea was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Christian Figueroa was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was D Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lynn Classical pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Reading Memorial, their record now sits at 13-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Reading Memorial has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lynn Classical struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Reading Memorial came out on top in a nail-biter against Lynn Classical when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
