Basketball Recap: Tooele Comes Up Short

Tooele lost against Stansbury back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tooele Buffaloes lost 61-36 to the Stansbury Stallions. The Buffaloes just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Tooele still got an impressive performance from Crew Lewis, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 22 points. What's more, Lewis also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Mason Heap also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Stansbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Porter Hinton, who posted 15 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Luke Rich, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Tooele's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Stansbury, they pushed their record up to 5-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Tooele will be playing in front of their home fans against Park City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Park City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Stansbury, they will challenge Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stansbury is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
