Basketball Recap: Berean Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against American Leadership Academy

Berean Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 82-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Leadership Academy. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berean Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Armstrong, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Armstrong is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Elijah Morris, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Berean Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Leadership Academy only pulled down five offensive boards.

It was another big night for CJ Christopher Williams, who dropped a double-double on 51 points and 12 assists for American Leadership Academy. The match was Williams' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeAnte Echtinaw, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Berean Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for American Leadership Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
