Basketball Recap: Sherrard Comes Up Short

Sherrard has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Princeton Tigers on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Sherrard came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Princeton is ranked 235th).

Sherrard's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Princeton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Sherrard will welcome Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Princeton has already played their next matchup (against Ottawa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
