Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (59), Academy for Academic Excellence still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Raoul Churchill, who went 11 for 17 from beyond the arc en route to 48 points and 2 assists for Riverside Prep. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Churchill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marrion Brown, who scored seven points along with 17 rebounds.
Academy for Academic Excellence has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Riverside Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Academy for Academic Excellence won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sultana at 9:00 a.m. on January 20th. Sultana is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Riverside Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Prep is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home.
