Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westbrook). They walked away with a 67-56 win over the Mt. Ararat Eagles on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Blazes as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Westbrook's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Mt. Ararat, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Westbrook will finish 2024 at home by hosting Fryeburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Fryeburg likes a good challenge. Mt. Ararat will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Medomak Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
