Basketball Recap: Hart County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Crescent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hart County). They put the hurt on the Crescent Tigers with a sharp 83-57 win on Friday. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 10th (when they won 77-48).

Crescent lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Philip Deveaux, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Deveaux is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was James Dawson, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points.

Hart County's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Crescent, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Hart County has already played their next contest, an 81-74 win against Elbert County on the 13th. Crescent and Palmetto will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
