Basketball Recap: Bensalem Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bensalem, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Cheltenham Panthers out 57-54. The win was some much needed relief for the Fighting Owls as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Amir Drummond, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 25 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Trevor Morris, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Bensalem's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cheltenham, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bensalem will welcome Council Rock North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bensalem is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Cheltenham, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cheltenham Panthers duke it out with the Lower Moreland Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheltenham is facing Lower Moreland at the right time seeing as Lower Moreland is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
