Volleyball Recap: Nandua Comes Up Short

Nandua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holly Grove Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 13-25, 25-12.

Emily Shin was the offensive standout of the game as she had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high. Emily Nguyen also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Nandua's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Holly Grove Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nandua will take on Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holly Grove Christian, they will face off against Greenwood Mennonite at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
