Baseball Recap: Rutherford Comes Up Short

Rutherford lost against Bozeman back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell 4-1 to the Bucks.

Devin Langley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

Rutherford's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Bozeman, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Rutherford will square off against North Bay Haven Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Bozeman, they will challenge Marianna at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
