Basketball Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short

Lawrence County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Decatur Red Raiders, falling 53-21. The matchup marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Decatur, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Lawrence County will head out to face off against Russellville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Russellville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Decatur, they will be playing at home against Athens at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Decatur is facing Athens at the right time seeing as Athens is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
