Basketball Recap: Design Tech Comes Up Short

Design Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 47-36 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Design Tech's record is now 2-5. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Design Tech will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Francisco Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they will be taking part in a tournament against Head-Royce at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Crystal Springs Uplands knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Head-Royce likes a good challenge.
