Basketball Recap: Janesville Craig Takes a Loss

Janesville Craig was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madison La Follette Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-52 back in December of 2024.

Janesville Craig's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Madison La Follette, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Janesville Craig and Madison La Follette could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Janesville Craig will square off against Verona at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday down 260 places (312 vs. 52). Similarly, Madison La Follette (ranked 224th) will meet Milwaukee Academy of Science (ranked 71st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
