Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Preparatory Comes Up Short

Lakeland Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Collierville Dragons. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-9.

Tess Terpstra paced Lakeland Preparatory's offense, picking up four kills. Terpstra got some help from Emma Morgan and her seven assists. Madelynn Chauffe controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeland Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Collierville, their victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Lakeland Preparatory has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Haywood on the 25th. As for Collierville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Arlington on the 23rd.
