St. Albans hadn't done well against Gonzaga recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

St. Albans' victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Gonzaga, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

St. Albans wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-4 win against Episcopal on the 15th. As for Gonzaga, they will face off against Bishop O'Connell at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
