Basketball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry and Northview squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Perry had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Northview Titans 69-34. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Titans are ranked 91st).

Northview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Milan Johnson out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndal Hardaway, who went 8-for-17 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Perry has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Northview, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9.

As of now, neither Perry nor Northview have any future games scheduled.
