The Maumee Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maumee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Maumee is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Oak Harbor on Monday. They lost 8-2 to the Rockets. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Reign Hurt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, Lake came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Comets. While the Flyers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Maumee's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Lake, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
