Basketball Game Preview: Overhills Jaguars vs. Wakefield Wolverines

The Overhills Jaguars will square off against the Wakefield Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Overhills comes in on eight and Wakefield on 15.

Overhills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Apex Friendship 64-50.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Najiha Allen and Jasmine Nivar. Allen had a great game and shot 54% from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and five boards. Meanwhile, Nivar did her best for the losing side, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wakefield got the win against Jordan on Friday by a conclusive 62-37. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Wakefield pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points over those games. As for Overhills, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
