Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Sioux City North Stars

The Lincoln Lynx will venture away from home to face off against the Sioux City North Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lincoln took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Harlan a 3-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Sioux City North made easy work of Sergeant Bluff-Luton last Thursday and carried off a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-28 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Sioux City North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-5.

Lincoln came up short against Sioux City North in their previous meeting last Wednesday, falling 13-9. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
