Pioneer-Pleasant Vale came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Verden Tigers as they made off with an 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 21 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Pioneer-Pleasant Vale's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 31-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Verden, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-11.
