Baseball Recap: Ruidoso Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Ruidoso finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 10-1 to the New Mexico Military Institute Colts. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost five in a row.

Ruidoso saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Marmolejo, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Ruidoso's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for New Mexico Military Institute, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

While Ruidoso had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
