Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes, falling 62-25. The defeat continues a trend for the Dark Horses in their matchups with the Golden Tornadoes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Clinton's loss came despite strong showings from Janiya Mosley and Ciara Stuart. Mosley posted five points and three steals, while Stuart earned five points and six steals. Stuart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Fairmont, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

Coming up, Clinton will take on West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
