Football Game Preview: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Bishop Guertin Cardinals

The Nashua South Purple Panthers will challenge the Bishop Guertin Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Nashua South sitting on three straight wins and Bishop Guertin on five.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Nashua South and Keene had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Purple Panthers blew past the Blackbirds 47-7 on Friday. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Purple Panthers this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Guertin faced Nashua North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 51-27 margin over the Titans. Considering the Cardinals have won four games by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Guertin's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Nashua South, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Nashua South against Bishop Guertin in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 59-26 victory. Will the Purple Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
