Volleyball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Halstead Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Irish of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Olivia Harold and Jai Rogers, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Breslyn Francis and her five assists.

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Halstead, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 27-5.

Chapman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Abilene on the 14th. As for Halstead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Minneapolis on the 11th.
