Basketball Recap: Boone County Comes Up Short

Boone County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts 69-24. The Rebels lost against the Juggernauts in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-47 score last time.

Boone County's loss dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Lloyd Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Boone County will take on Owen County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lloyd Memorial, they will square off against Bellevue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lloyd Memorial likes a good challenge.
