Baseball Recap: Fleming Island Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Fleming Island's offense. They fell 3-0 to the McMinn Central Chargers on Thursday.

Fleming Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Swartz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Fleming Island has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The victory snapped McMinn Central's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Looking ahead, Fleming Island will venture away from home to square off against Beachside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McMinn Central, they will welcome East Hamilton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
