Football Recap: Creekside Seminoles vs. Seminole Seminoles
While Creekside put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Seminole. Creekside claimed a resounding 32-0 victory over Seminole. The win made it back-to-back victories for Creekside.
Creekside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ced Kelley, who rushed for 122 yards and two scores on only seven carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards. Gary Walker also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Creekside's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Carter Jamison, Tavarre Terrell, and Cassius Burch, who each picked up one sack apiece. Jamison was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Coming up, Creekside will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against DeSoto at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seminole, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
