Softball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Perry-Lecompton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Nemaha Central Thunder by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Kaws: when they faced off against the Thunder on Thursday, they had to take a 9-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Meaa Allen, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paxton Damme, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Perry-Lecompton's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Nemaha Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Perry-Lecompton is set to face off against their familiar foe Rossville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nemaha Central will square off against rival Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on May 5.
