Recap: Riverside Christian Wranglers vs. Chiefland Indians
The Riverside Christian Wranglers suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-13 loss at the hands of Chiefland. Riverside Christian has not had much luck with Chiefland recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiefland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calea Whitelow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitelow has scored all season. Riley Davies was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Riverside Christian's loss was their 11th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-15. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.4 points per game. As for Chiefland, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
Riverside Christian will face off against Life Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Chiefland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dixie County at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Dixie County is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
