Volleyball Game Preview: Larkin Royals vs. Hinsdale South Hornets

The Larkin Royals will venture away from home to face off against the Hinsdale South Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Larkin is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Wednesday, Larkin was able to grind out a solid win over Elmwood Park, taking the game 2-0.

While Larkin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale South beat Bolingbrook 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Hinsdale South never let Bolingbrook on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23.

Hinsdale South's record now sits at 8-5. As for Larkin, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-7.

Larkin couldn't quite get it done against Hinsdale South in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Royals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
