Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eaglecrest had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grandview Wolves, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Raptors in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Dillan Ancheta had a dynamite game, getting eight digs and two aces. He is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 13 games he's played.

Ancheta wasn't the only good server: Eaglecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grandview only served eight aces.

Eaglecrest's record now sits at 24-5. As for Grandview, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-8.

Eaglecrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Littleton Public Schools on the 10th. Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
