Basketball Game Preview: Warden Cougars vs. Granger Spartans

The Warden Cougars will challenge the Granger Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Warden is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Warden challenged Tri-Cities Prep on Tuesday. Warden came up short against Tri-Cities Prep, falling 52-28.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-31, which was the final score in Granger's tilt against Columbia on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Coyotes are ranked 97th).

Granger has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Warden, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Warden against Granger in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 70-21 victory. Does Warden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Granger turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
