Baseball Recap: Ladysmith Takes a Loss

Ladysmith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-2 to the St. Croix Falls Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lumberjacks of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ladysmith saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that Moore got this season.

Ladysmith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Croix Falls, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ladysmith is set to take on their familiar foe Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Croix Falls will challenge rival Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
