Baseball Recap: Many Farms' Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Many Farms's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hopi Bruins with a sharp 24-7 victory. Considering the Lobos have won four games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wesley Atene was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Philbert Benally, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Many Farms kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win snapped Many Farms' losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-9 record. As for Hopi, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hopi beat Many Farms by a score of 13-3 later that day.
