Softball Recap: St. Anthony's Friars vs. Orchard Park Quakers
St. Anthony entered their tilt with Orchard Park on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Quakers.
Melissa Gordon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
