Soccer Recap: Altoona Victorious

Spooner kept up with Altoona until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Railroaders' defense stepped up to hand the Rails a 4-0 shutout. Considering Altoona's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Spooner with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauren Dallas (2), Holly Her, and Abigail Stangl.

Altoona's victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Altoona is taking a road trip to square off against Baldwin-Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin-Woodville will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Altoona surely won't give up without a fight. Spooner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
