Soccer Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dayton on Monday, Holy Cross came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Beechwood Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. Holy Cross have struggled against Beechwood recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Morgan Macdonald and Ellie Tetzel scored all three of Holy Cross' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Beechwood, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will square off against Boone County at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Beechwood will be paying especially close attention to the Indians' matchup: after the Indians face off against the Rebels, they'll take on Beechwood again at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
