Baseball Recap: Lake Cormorant Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lake Cormorant's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the North Delta Green Wave by a score of 12-9. Lake Cormorant's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jake Romero was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Michael Callahan, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lake Cormorant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Lake Cormorant's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for North Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Cormorant will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Delta, they will head out to challenge Pillow Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
