Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Dalton Catamounts
Coahulla Creek kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dalton Catamounts. The Colts have struggled against the Catamounts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. Norton got some help from Maddy Hambright and her ten assists. Norton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dalton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrea Hernandez, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted since back in October of 2024.
Dalton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Coahulla Creek has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Northwest Whitfield on the 7th. As for Dalton, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Gilmer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
