ALA - West Foothills had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They blew past the Tonopah Valley Phoenix 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Guardians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: ALA - West Foothills took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead ALA - West Foothills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Whitney Kobel, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Kobel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Headley, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: ALA - West Foothills was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

ALA - West Foothills' victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Tonopah Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

ALA - West Foothills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Odyssey Institute on the 22nd. As for Tonopah Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Somerton on the 23rd.
