Northwest Guilford had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 33-16 victory over the Williams Bulldogs on Friday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 39-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

McKinnley Vance had a dynamite game for Northwest Guilford, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Quincy Bell Jr. did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards.
