Softball Recap: Gray Stone Day Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gray Stone Day can now relate to. They lost 17-2 to the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots on Tuesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gray Stone Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynley Pittman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Gray Stone Day's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Piedmont Community Charter, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

As of now, neither Gray Stone Day nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
