Basketball Game Preview: Milton Eagles vs. Gainesville Red Elephants

The Milton Eagles will take on the Gainesville Red Elephants at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Milton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Buford just ended the team's 14-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 67-61 to the Wolves. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (60), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Gainesville was able to grind out a solid win over Roswell on Saturday, taking the game 46-37. The Red Elephants haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gainesville's win came from a few key players that Milton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shailyn Jones, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brannen 'Branae' Shiloh, who had 11 points.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Gainesville, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Everything went Milton's way against Gainesville when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Milton made off with a 61-38 victory. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 35-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
