After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, SouthLake Christian Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

SouthLake Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Maultsby, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

SouthLake Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. SouthLake Christian Academy will challenge Hickory Grove Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they will take on Cannon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
