Basketball Recap: Remi Schieber's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Plaza Heights Christian Academy over Christian Fellowship

If Plaza Heights Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 64-39 takedown of Center Place on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Plaza Heights Christian Academy lost to Christian Fellowship on the road by a 63-44 margin on Tuesday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Christian Fellowship recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Plaza Heights Christian Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Remi Schieber, who went 9 for 21 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Schieber is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Jones, who posted 14 points and seven boards.

It was another big night for Luke Davis, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds for Christian Fellowship. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists.

Plaza Heights Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Christian Fellowship, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Plaza Heights Christian Academy will take on Christian Learning Center at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Fellowship, they will face off against Chamois at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
