Softball Recap: Keystone Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Keystone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Southeast Pirates on Monday. Considering the Wildcats have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Anna Wright, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ava Armitage, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

The victory snapped Keystone's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record. As for Southeast, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone will take on Berkshire in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Southeast, they will be taking part in a tournament against Chagrin Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
