Soccer Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton and Riverdale pushed the score to 5-3 the last time they played Riverdale, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Little Giants fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. Canton just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Riverdale, the win snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 9-0 loss against Washington on the 7th. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 defeat against Quad Cities Christian on the 7th.
