Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Glen Iris Baptist

Glen Iris Baptist had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over Adullam House Christian Academy. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-11.

Glen Iris Baptist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebekah Everett, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Everett is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lanie Saruse, who went 9-for-19 en route to 18 points and three steals.

Glen Iris Baptist's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Adullam House Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

As of now, neither Glen Iris Baptist nor Adullam House Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
