Basketball Recap: Sturgeon Comes Up Short

The Sturgeon Bulldogs ended up a good deal behind Christian Fellowship on Tuesday and lost 48-33. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Christian Fellowship got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Crockett out in front who shot 56% from the field on his way to 13 points and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Crockett a new career-high. Jake Davis was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points and four steals.

Sturgeon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Christian Fellowship, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Coming up, Sturgeon will take on Glasgow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Fellowship, they will square off against North Missouri HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
