Softball Recap: Campbell Takes a Loss

Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Saltillo Lions. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 19-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harly Pence made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Valadez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Saltillo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

While Campbell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
